My Country was painted after returning from outback Queensland. I love the feeling of reconnecting with nature — the contrast between the harsh, dirty earth and the softness of the rainforest. This landscape holds both strength and gentleness, and painting it helped me reconnect with the feeling of being grounded, free, and deeply connected to country.
